I'm realising now what slaves to technology we've become. We're using machines for everything nowadays we're so dependent on them! Then I realised I haven't posted here since Sunday and should do that today.

Oh yeah, new semester. Awesome. Infotech is great. It's not all Java, we're still doing mostly Delphi, and while some people may wince (you know who you are), it's great for me, because my dad has plans for a database program I can make and sell. Awesomeness.

French is what I expected it to be. Hard. Sure, we saw a movie in French for the first two days, but don't be quick to judge. There's a big provincial at the end, and it's supposed to be difficult. There's also a research project, but it's a bit different from the English one. It has to be oral and is presented in the form of a conversation with the examiner.

Calculus is awesome, for multiple reasons. One is it's math. No question there. The other reason is because Band is only block D and Calculus is C and D only, everyone taking both is in the same class. And I have a lot of friends taking both. It's not too hard. I'm sure it'll get harder later, though.

And Band is still good. We got some new music, The Pioneers, a great western-themed piece, and Mambo #5. Yeah, that song. I'd like it a lot more if I didn't play practically the same freakin' thing for 90 bars. It's funny, the year before I started high school, they came to my middle school and played both those songs. What's next? Night Train? Oh, wait, we have that in Jazz Band. Probably the same arrangement. We're also getting MalagueƱa and Mazama later, which I've heard have been played shortly before I came.

But yeah. It's awesome.

You don't like playing the same thing for 90 bars? Try being a drummer. 2 words: Billie Jean.
