Another update

I know I'm talking a lot about this, but I'm really excited about this.

Yeah, by the looks of things, Saturday morning practices work best, starting after spring break, most likely. Oh, and I've got possibly (and probably) another drummer (which, as an indirect result, accomodates a trombone), so I think Joel will most likely be on piano.

Well, that's the biggest obstacle taken care of. I was worried for a while. Cue me being stoked.

Oh, and I've pretty much finished a song (except for putting in written solos). I'm trying to make a note by note replica of a OneUps cover of Booster Tower from Super Mario RPG (the original can be found here, second song from the bottom). It's come along quite nicely. Just some little changes, other than trying to put in the solos, which shouldn't matter anyway. I may privately send out a MIDI file later, but the Guitar Pro file has a lot of the juicy info.

My only real gripe with it is that the drummer plays the exact same bar about 100 times in a row from start to finish. And that's the recording's fault.

Now I need to print it out in a way that's not infested with guitar tab and bad notation. *sigh* I need to upgrade my copy of Guitar Pro, but cash is a bit tight...

Yeah, I don't know how well Saturday mornings work for me. I've usually got a piano lesson from 11:30-12:15 - but after that I'm free (unless I work, which is usually at 3, or if I'm drumming at church, which is at about 3:30)

That's probably all the time we need. 12:30/45 to 2:15/30/45 should be plenty of time. I mean, we can do that "practice" thing during the rest of the week, it's a small enough group, and we can take care of ourselves fairly well. I only take people that are really enthusiastic about it.

Besides, it's about the only time that'll work for the rest of us and I'm getting tired of trying to arrange practices. Please?
