Youth retreat

Oh, man, it was amazing. Just amazing. I'll go at it day by day.

We went down to Rockridge Canyon for it. It's a really nice place. They've got foosball and pool tables, a really nice dining hall, great rooms, everything.

Friday we went up. The bus ride was getting to be a bit slow near the end, especially when we got to this one off-road and it still took about a half hour to get there. We had fun till about dinner and did serious stuff after. Nothing much. Then before bed, a huge pillow fight broke out in our section of the lodge we were staying at. Though, it was more like our small group against the rest of the boys. Maybe it was because we started it.

Saturday was long, but good. I had my first confession in several years (it's a Catholic thing), and that evening was one of the most emotional nights of my life. Nothing bad happened, it was just really emotional and there were a lot of people feeling God that night. Oh, man, it was absolutely fantastic. There was also a big worship night coupled along with that. I haven't felt even close to how I was feeling last night since the prayer rally I went to last month. It was that awesome. And after, I played Texas Hold 'Em for a while. I came in second last, but it wasn't bad considering I haven't played before.

Sunday was just the usual wrap-up stuff, and then the bus ride home. I slept on the bus for about an hour. And now I'm here, typing about it.

I'll just say that this has been one of the best experiences of my life.
