You know, I'm having (better) second thoughts about the Switchfoot CD. I'm listening to it a second time and I'm liking it a lot more. It helps if you just stop thinking about what the lyrics are or mean and just enjoy the music. In the end, I don't have a single regret buying it at all.

Maybe I'll get Casting Crowns next time. I got $7.50 off yesterday for spending so much.

Dude... that is such a good CD. What I especially like about it is that, while there are some songs I don't particularly care for on their own, when you listen to the CD as a whole, they're all good. That's not easy to do. It's got possibly the best flow to it of any CD I've ever heard. Too bad the original release was rootkitted...

And actually, that jazz one sounds interesting. Does it have "I Sing the Mighty Power of God" on it? I love that hymn...

Yeah, I like how some of the tracks flow from one to the other, but my iPod skips it a little bit in between tracks, so it doesn't flow as much as I want it to. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. It's not a good CD to have on shuffle, though, is it?

The jazz one doesn't have that song on it. By the way, it's more modern jazz, not swing (though there is a bit of small combo stuff). But there is some fun stuff, such as Awesome God and He's Got the Whole World in His Hands on it. It's pretty good for a two disc compilation. The only gripe is the songs are a bit too long for me. On average they're about 4 minutes long.

I think it's part of a series, though. I just noticed today there's a subtitle on it (His Eye is on the Sparrow), which is one of the songs in the compilation. There may be more out there.
