I haven't posted anything in a few days, so I'll put something up just to keep you stalkers busy. :P

This weekend went fairly well. I didn't miss any buses this time and I got back safely.

(warning: video-game-ish talk follows, but it's more used as a medium for a message. Just skip to the last paragraph if you don't want to be too confused.)

You know, one of the best things about coming home is that you can just relax for a while and not care about too much. One thing my brother and I seem to have as a little tradition when I come home is break out the GameCube and start playing Smash Bros. Melee late into the night. We're not too competitive (though my brother's the only person I know who can beat me consistently enough, and vice versa), we just play to have a good time. The "highlight" fights aren't even ones with our best characters, it's just Link (me) vs. Pikachu (him) stuff after a few battles with pseudo-random character fights. It's great, and we get a lot of good moments from that, whether it be a nice projectile combo from me or him getting a good hit on me after I goof up and leave myself open. I've been working with Mario for a while (his grabs, along with that forward-air meteor smash work wonders if you know when the right time is) and his Fox (and usually even his Ice Climbers) can work wonders against me, no matter who I use. I can't wait for Brawl to come out for the Wii so I can see how well I stack up against the rest of the world and get a huge shock and my butt kicked online.

Highlight from last time: Falcon (me) vs DK (him) and we both fall off both from our own stupidity in the first ten seconds. We just stopped and laughed at ourselves.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to convey is that some things you just never grow out of. It's nice after a stressful work week to just kick back and go back to what life was like before things like moving out and living somewhere else come into play. It's one of the things I look forward to whenever I go home. I'm sure others have something similar that I'd probably have trouble wrapping my head around. :P

Current music: The OneUps - ToeJam Jammin' (from ToeJam and Earl) - it sounds a lot less gross than it actually is.
