Oh, yeah, just a small update on the jazz band thing. I called the guy that's organizing it up yesterday just to see what the status was, and apparently we need any trombones and saxes before we can start. We have everything else (other than a guitar, but it's not necessary).
It's weird. I've never had problems with a jazz band having a lack of saxes. We usually had more altos than trumpets. (though, apparently, this year, the Mouat senior jazz band has 8 trumpets and the bare minimum of saxes).
So yeah. If you are between 15 and 19, happen to play either trombone or any sax and live in the Victoria, BC area and happen to read this blog (yeah, I know, it's not gonna happen), you might want to consider this.

- I can be a lot of things. I can be a university student that's going to be in his second year of university taking software engineering. I can be a musician that plays guitar and bass, and does some composing or arranging on the side. I can be a math or science nerd that makes plenty of calculus jokes, whether you want me to or not.
