Today (as well as most of this weekend) went very well. I can happily say I'm starting to get a group of friends now, and today was pretty interesting. We went to church in the morning (Glad Tidings Pentecostal, for those who care) and the service was pretty good (the pastor was talking about, essentially, becoming new Christians and starting a new beginning, if I remember correctly, but the pastor was really good at it). After we went down to the waterfront and had lunch at Milestones there. It was a lot of fun.

Note: for those not so video game-savvy (you know who you are :P), feel free to skip the next paragraph.

Anyway, after we all got back and went our separate ways (I had laundry for one thing), and then I did what I do best: procrastinate. I'm halfway done the mech homework, which is pretty big in itself, so I slacked off a little (I did laundry, though!), but I was happy with the result. See, I've been playing a lot of the original Zelda (first quest) on my computer lately. I'm getting better and better at speedrunning it. The first time I tried (at Manila way back last summer), I got sub-2 hours (I think), but no deaths, no potions, so I kept trying. On the flight home, I knocked it down to an hour and a half. Now, I'm picking it up again and I can proudly say that after 2 tries today (and a few more in the past few days, I can do it under an hour (55 minutes, approx. I timed it, but I started a bit into the first dungeon, about 3 minutes in), no deaths, no potions. See, it really helps to skip a lot of the items you don't need, like the wand, the red candle, even the magic key, and to do the dungeons out of order (my fast run went 1-2-3-4-6-8-5-7-9), but there are faster routes. For example, the record is 33 minutes.
