The music geek in me is well satisfied.

Last night was great. I went down to the recital hall in the music building, where there was a classical music concert. No orchestra or anything, just a trombone, a bass trombone, and a piano, and it was never all three, just a combination of any two. It was really cool. I've never heard a trombone trill before.

And I discovered the best thing ever. You know those houses that have one of those musty old attics or basements where people store what seems to be old junk but is actually of great value? While it would be cool to find one of those, I found something analogous to that. In the basement of the library is the music and audio section, which I just discovered last night. Just looking around, I found shelves with books about music (theory, I think, and history), and then I discovered something else. I found shelves - many huge shelves - of sheet music. Seriously. If it was written before 1920, it's probably in there. You could find just about anything in there, as long as it's classical music. I found some guitar concertos in there, as well as a ton of classical guitar books. And I can borrow any of it. It's been my favorite discovery all year.
