The life of a guy living in a world where everything is laid out in black and white.
(for those that don't get it, the blog name and domain are chess references, and yes, I'm a big geek)
Matt, that is soooo amazing! I am really proud of you. The amount of work and effort you must have put in in order to achieve something like that... Wow! It inspires me to try harder. I really hope you are enjoying your first week of classes :) I really don't want to go back... but I shouldn't complain. Hey, are you coming back this weekend for the baptism class? It'd be super cool of we could do it together :) It's ok if you can't though, I just thought I'd throw the idea out there. Well, once again, congratulations on your outstanding marks and I really hope to see you soon :D
I really want to, but the fact that it goes till 7 pm on Sunday really stops me from doing anything (and I have an 8:30 class the next day). So I'm still here at UVic this weekend. Maybe this summer when I have more time.
No problem :) Turns out, I didn't go anyways... Long story short, I have some things I need to fix before I feel comfortable getting baptized. Summer sounds good to me too! Btw, I really hope your classes are going well so far. Mine start tomorrow. I share the sorrow of Monday morning 8:30 class... Mine's a three hour british history lecture with the same prof I had last semester. He was good, but he has one of *the most monotonous* voices I have ever heard. Maybe I'll do better with him the second time around ;)Hope to see you soon!
I can be a lot of things. I can be a university student that's going to be in his second year of university taking software engineering. I can be a musician that plays guitar and bass, and does some composing or arranging on the side. I can be a math or science nerd that makes plenty of calculus jokes, whether you want me to or not. I can be a hardcore gamer, as well as an Apple and Nintendo fanboy (though not nearly as bad as some people are). I can be a guy that tries to follow Christ with all his might. I can be just an all-around good guy to talk to. But most of all, I can be me, and that's probably the most important thing I can be.
