Well, the Geeks vs. Wilderness hike went quite well. I dunno if that's the official name or not, but it sounded good when it was suggested a few minutes in. The first day went really well. I can say I was blessed by luck in having the lightest pack to carry (9 pounds), which made the hike a lot easier than it would have been for me. The hardest parts were some monster uphills at the start of the first and last days. The weather was about as good as it could be. It was beautiful for pretty much all three days.
Actually, besides some of the views that we could see, one of the best parts for me is seeing exactly how far two legs can carry you. Sometimes you can see the tower near the parking lot that we started from and just feel amazed that you walked all the way there. It's great.
I'll have pictures up sometime.

LOL! Geeks vs. Wilderness!! I love it! Ha, that's one thing Grant didn't mention. Oh my goodness, it fits so perfectly! I mean that in the nicest way possible. You know,I found myself wondering on the Saturday morning if Grant had remembered sunscreen. When I saw him after the hike, I realized the answer was no. I can't wait to hear more about it! It sounds like you guys had a fabulous time :) I'm looking forward to pics too ;) See you tomorrow!
P.S. Who won? I forgot to ask that last time. By the look of Grant's neck, I'd say that the wilderness got a couple good shots in... Hey, Guess what??? Joel got Facebook!! D'you know what that means? It means there's hope that you might get it too! < Insert multiple forms of denial here > Still, I think it could happen... :P
P.P.S How are the pipes doing? And did the new CD have the same pictures as the last one, 'cause I thought that the 1st cd was the only copy... Good to see you today! Sorry I couldn't talk much, we've been pretty busy the last little while.
The only real problem for me was the bugs. Somehow I managed to avoid getting burned to a crisp out there (at least to a point where I could feel it).
I don't care who around me gets Facebook. People can stalk me with my blog or last.fm if they really want to. :P
Sigh... I wish that there was an easier way for others to see my iPhoto library without me having to spend 100 bucks for a .mac subscription and upgrading my version of iPhoto. Every other way to share pictures seems too slow. :(
Everything at work seems to be just fine right now... or at least as fine as they can be.
Ha ha, nice. Yeah, facebook is good for pictures, even for me - the technologically disinclined! As for the stalking bit, it's pretty easy to limit who has access to your stuff, otherwise I wouldn't have it. I'm pretty picky when it comes to privacy settings, for good reason if you get my drift... I have deemed facebook safe. By the way, if you ever do get it, you'll have to let me know because you won't be able to find me to add me :P Also, I have no clue what iPhoto is, but I can guess. Has to do with mac because of the 'i' and your mention of mac and the word photo kind of makes me think it has something to do with pictures... A mac program involving pictures. One that you need an expensive subscription for if you want to use the best parts? I'm glad to hear that work is settling down and balancing out (equilibrium, anyone?)again. If my guess is correct, I'll probably see you later today around lunchtime ;)See you later!
