I got a letter I've been semi-expecting today: the notices of the awards I won for school next year. I got the usual renewals, along with one I didn't expect - an extra $1500 for next year. The problem is, it goes directly into my UVic account, and I can't use it for spending (as far as I know), all it goes to is tuition. So what happens when there's extra after I graduate?

- I can be a lot of things. I can be a university student that's going to be in his second year of university taking software engineering. I can be a musician that plays guitar and bass, and does some composing or arranging on the side. I can be a math or science nerd that makes plenty of calculus jokes, whether you want me to or not. I can be a hardcore gamer, as well as an Apple and Nintendo fanboy (though not nearly as bad as some people are). I can be a guy that tries to follow Christ with all his might. I can be just an all-around good guy to talk to. But most of all, I can be me, and that's probably the most important thing I can be.

You seem to be the fore-teller of good fortune. Congrats on yet another scholarship! The unexpected ones are the best, aren't they? That way you aren't waiting for them to come with anxious anticipation. Those sorts of things make it kind of feel like your birthday came early, or maybe Christmas. I found out last night that Grant has some similar news too, but I'll let him tell you otherwise I'll end up mangling the details and misinforming you ;) Have fun on your field trip!
