I'm getting an iMac!

It's on order now, but something's up. For some reason, it put two iMacs on order instead of just one (though my dad has a receipt with the right amount of everything on it with a proper total), which is fairly important, because it's an extra 1400 bucks on order. It shouldn't be a problem, I can probably call Apple to fix this, or I can return it if I need to, but this is annoying me a lot right now. I'm curious to know how much is billed on my dad's Mastercard right now.

Anyway, I hope to have this resolved soon. Maybe the computer store can help me. This is not something I'd expect from Apple. With any luck, though, they might send both iMacs and only bill for one. That would be great.

edit (9:40 am the next day): Okay, there are some serious problems going on right now. First off, I can't cancel one iMac because the .Mac subscription I ordered with it has already been prepared for shipping. Second, Apple's return policy states that I can't return custom configured products, and I upgraded the hard drive to a 320 gig from a 250 gig. I can't call Apple yet without being prepared to hold for a while (something I can't do with class in less than an hour), and I hope that they'll be able to fix the order. All this over a mistake, while I have proof that shows that I only ordered one (before the order got changed and right after the order was made, it listed exactly what I got, with one iMac, and only a $1569 total, on a page that said "please print this page for your records"). Let's hope my call with Apple later today will go well.

Edit 2 (2:42 Friday): Wow, that was surprisingly easy. I spent longer on hold than I spent having to take care of the order, and I didn't spend that long on hold, either (the hold music went through two whole songs). It looks like I can just return it just fine once (and if) the second computer comes in, but the biggest thing is that the computer has been canceled and that's 1400 bucks that I don't have to spend. The .mac subscription has already been shipped, but I can return one of them and get the $99 back, I'm sure. Thank you, Apple, including Paul, the guy I talked to, for making this really easy for me.

Glad you got that figured out. Apparently the lab techs at TWU are Mac fans too because over the summer all the computers in the lab got switched to IMacs. We are using a duel-boot system where you can choose either OS or WinNT.
