Taken verbatim from my comp sci assignment:

Why C is very popular as a systems programming language in applications such as embedded microprocessor systems? Write at least half page. Attach one sheet of paper, with your ID, printed and well formatted, for your answer. You will be evaluated on many items, including thoughtfulness, grammar, and spelling.

(bolded stuff is my editing)

Oh, and I discovered how difficult it can be to use bitwise operators on a floating point number. Thankfully there are ways to get around it, but you've got to be really sneaky about it. I feel so stealthy right now...

Three letters. E S L. That's all I can say about the assignment instructions. Oh dear... at least you have the hope that they will pay as much attention to your grammar as they do to their own :) Good luck! Have Fun!
P.S. Yay for stealthy floating bits! Or something like that...?

You hit the nail right on the head. Which, on a related note to that class, I didn't go to it today because I already learned what we were covering last year and I didn't want to get confused about something that already took me long enough to try and wrap my head around. I have no regrets about it. I spent the hour and a half I missed doing my assignment and using concepts I would have learned today anyway (see second paragraph for the end result).
