Weekend...

Actually, despite knowing the workload I had, I still managed to find some time to myself as well. I got my elec homework done yesterday (it's due Tuesday), and I got a resume and cover letter done for co-op. There's a games company in Burnaby that I'm looking at, but the application is due Monday at 10 am, which means I need to get up early and have my co-op advisor look at it quickly before I can send it off. It looks like a good job and I think I'll be able to get it, but we'll see. As for other options, IBM is still a possibility, though not it Vancouver just because they want 8 month work terms, and I want 4 so my courses line up right. It looks like there's a good IBM position in Ontario that doesn't want you to have a work term under your belt already, and I'm actually seriously considering it. Yes, it's the farthest I've lived from home, but it looks like a really good job. If I don't get either of those, I dunno what I'll do, but there are still plenty of opportunities.

On a completely unrelated note, someone in my building got a GameCube and Smash Bros, so I had some fun with that tonight. There's also a tournament coming up for the N64 version (emulated), and I've been practicing up for that. It's nice to be able to play someone that not my brother for once. There's some decent competition here, too, though I'd like to play more 1v1s, even though that's kinda hard to do with a lot of people.

Lol, I notice at the bottom that your computer has a labeling problem. I believe the title of that song is "The Word is Alive", not "The World is Alive". I suppose you could argue that the world is, in fact, alive, but that's not what the song's about ;)

...and that's what I get for trusting the automatic CD track naming that iTunes has. iTunes said "world", the CD says "word", it's almost the same thing. This is so gonna mess up my last.fm stuff...

Haha, lol. I know what you mean. I saw two different versions at first too. Confused, I checked the CC official website - straight to the source! I always knew there was something wrong with iTunes... *shifty eyes*

Just because I'm nitpicky (and because it's my obligation to defend good Apple software), it's not iTunes's fault (their store names the track correctly). The GraceNote CDDB, which iTunes uses to get its track names (as well as WMP and many other music programs) have their CD tracks submitted and updated by the general public, much like Wikipedia is. It may not be perfect, but keep in mind I also got the CD on release day so there's a good chance that it hadn't been checked thoroughly for errors yet.

Wow I'm a music nerd... when I saw 1v1 I thought, "Is that a new type of guitar amp power tube? Maybe a new version of a 6v6?"
