Best wishes from all the blog's staff. Yesterday we celebrated the birth of Christ! Today we celebrate commercialism! :P
First off, my gift to friends, family, and the internets: A new song. I finished it yesterday. For those that got it before a few minutes ago, get it again, since I forgot to tune my guitar before recording yesterday (I got up at 6:30 on Christmas morning. Yes, I know I'm 19, and no, I don't think you're ever too old to do that) and it sounds horrible, and thanks to GarageBand's "enhance tuning" feature, I fixed it up nicely, though pitch bending on the guitar sounds like a slide now. A small tradeoff, though.
This year's stash was interesting. I asked my parents for something useful rather than something fun, and as a result, I got clothes in my stocking, but to my surprise, I unwrapped a set of Bose Companion 3 Series II speakers. My brother got an (8 gig) iPod touch, which I immediately proceeded to drool over, and my parents told me I can trade in the speakers for an 8 gig one, 16 if I pay the difference. Decisions, decisions... but I'm probably gonna keep the speakers. Even 16 gigs is not enough to hold everything in my iTunes library, and that's before I start putting lots of movies on it, and as cool as the touch is, the novelty wears off after a bit and now it's just a really expensive toy, though the fact that you can get WiFi on it is a huge plus, even if the web browser doesn't support Flash, and possibly Java as well. The speakers are just awesome, though I haven't opened them yet (I'm still deciding).
My Boxing Day stash turned out well, too. I picked up a Cube memory card (I'm taking ours with me, since we have the Wii at home, and I need a new card, and it's twice the size of our old one, which, if you've seen it, is really big), Elite Beat Agents, which is awesome, though the choice of music is sometimes questionable (Believe by Cher? There has to be a song - any song - that's better than that). I might import the Japanese versions - they use J-pop and all that stuff, which I've heard works a lot better.
