Update

I realized I haven't talked about work yet. It's actually pretty interesting; what CanAssist is is a group of mostly engineers who make technological solutions for people with physical or mental disabilities. The project that I'm working on is an onscreen keyboard that can be operated to a fairly large extent using only nine buttons. The biggest trick is in its word prediction algorithms; when you type in a word, the program does its best to try and figure out what you're going to type in. It needs improvement, and that's my job. I've been getting a lot of help, which is great, since it's in C++, which I haven't touched much, and it's written in the Qt library, which changes a lot of the basic commands I'm used to more than usual and adds a ton more. It's not bad once you get used to it, but the hardest part is trying to work my way through code that I didn't write myself.

In other news, I still have no internet at home (but I'm hoping to by next weekend), but I do have my laptop again, so I can actually use a computer of my own for the web right now.

In other other news, I'm going skiing tomorrow! I'm off to Mt. Washington for the day, and it's going to be great.
