Updates

Small computer update - the computer does work in general, but I'm still avoiding using it too much unless necessary, and I'm back on the school computers for most of my stuff. Today I haven't had any problems with it so far, so that's a good thing. I might need a new hard drive (again) if worse comes to worse.

Concerning reading break in two weeks - I don't have one, unfortunately. BUT, I'm going to do what I can to be home the first weekend of it (15-17th) and maybe the second weekend, so I'll be around.

When I read your previous post, I thought you meant that it was just the school comp that you were using that was having a problem. It's your laptop then? That sucks :( I'm glad to hear that you are coming back soon! It feels like I haven't seen you in ages. I hope work is going well for you (even though you don't get a reading break). I understand, UCFV gets a Monday and Tuesday, but I don't go to school on Tues. anyway so I pretty much get a two-day weekend, lol. I've heard reading break has to do with suicide rates and apparently work doesn't make you suicidal... Well, I should hope not at least. Anyway, I'd better stop my random ramblings and head off to work myself. Oh yeah, are you getting snow over there? We've had at least a tiny bit (usually at night, sometimes during the day) every day for the past week and a half. Maybe you got a snow day?? ^^

The laptop has been running surprisingly smoothly over the past two days, but I haven't been using it for much. It went ballistic on Friday, freezing up on a simple program loading up or typing a bit of text into a web browser, but over the past two days, other than the wireless here being somewhat harder than usual to get on (and wireless cards aren't too bad to replace, if that's the case). If you don't touch it and let it do its thing, it's fine. I might back up my stuff pretty soon, though. (yay for external hard drives!)

I don't think I'll go suicidal since classes are usually accompanied with homework, something I thankfully don't have. It helps if you enjoy your work, too.

We've had a little bit of snow here (like, half an inch about a week ago), but it wasn't enough to cancel anything, but still enough to cause a lot of fun for a lot of people on the roads because apparently no one has snow tires here. Amazing what a tiny bit of slush can do. Like close a highway.
