Yeah, I'm running Ubuntu 6.10 on my laptop now, along with the OS X.
Anyway, one thing I never mentioned in the last post is my reasons for doing this. Well, in future years I know I'll probably have to start using Linux at one point or another. That and I thought it would be cool to try out. Might as well start now...
Initial impressions: You get used to a lot of things in OS X pretty quickly. Things such as Expose and two-finger scrolling. I need to find a way around that. Once I get things the way I want them to be, it'll be better.
One more thing: Linux developers have no love for PowerPC builds. But I think I can do that myself, since a lot of the stuff is open-source...

Current music: Working on getting my iTunes library in here. Just wait a bit...

Took you 4 and a half hours to install?... maybe I won't ever run it (or Windows, for that matter...)
No, it actually installed pretty quickly, once I figured out how to partition the hard drive without erasing anything on it. But I also had to download the CD image (really quick with BitTorrent) and burn the CD, as well as try and figure out how it worked. The installation was probably about half an hour, and you can always just run it off the Live CD, though that's pretty slow.
Right now it works pretty quickly, but I haven't done too much in the way of testing
