Oh, I guess there's one more thing that's been on my mind lately. I keep having this hunch that whatever's mentioned in the book of Revelation might happen sometime this year. I dunno why, there's just been a lot of stuff leading up to it.
One thing is that there's this particle accelerator being built somewhere in Sweden that may have the possibility of generating black holes, though that's unproven. Now, there's the chance that these black holes might evaporate due to something called Hawking radiation, but it's also unproven. It's supposed to start up this year.
Now the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists is planning to move the Doomsday Clock this Wednesday. Now, it's not an actual measure of time (it can move forward and back, and its "minutes" aren't real minutes), but it "counts down" to complete destruction by nuclear war.
My hunch is probably nothing, though. Besides, if it actually does happen, it's a good thing, and I should be looking forward to it. It's not like there's anything I can do about it anyway.

- I can be a lot of things. I can be a university student that's going to be in his second year of university taking software engineering. I can be a musician that plays guitar and bass, and does some composing or arranging on the side. I can be a math or science nerd that makes plenty of calculus jokes, whether you want me to or not. I can be a hardcore gamer, as well as an Apple and Nintendo fanboy (though not nearly as bad as some people are). I can be a guy that tries to follow Christ with all his might. I can be just an all-around good guy to talk to. But most of all, I can be me, and that's probably the most important thing I can be.

Why would anyone create a particle accelerator that could create a black hole? That sounds almost as dangerous and suicidal as a game of "Toss the H-bomb"
Because they can. The big word is "could", though. First of all, they're microscopically small, and if Hawking radiation exists, it'll vanish in a really, really, really short amount of time. It's very unlikely that it will create black holes, though, requiring that one theory must be proven false (Hawking radiation) and another one to be true (dimensions beyond the 3 space and the 1 time), both of which are very unlikely.
Besides, if it doesn't happen, we'll learn a lot about different things.
