I just got my laptop back. It seems to be working okay right now. I think just a simple reinstall of the OS would have done it, because that's what the guy did and he couldn't get it to freeze. The guy suggested that I get more RAM, since I'm on the bare minimum running Leopard on this thing, and I kinda agree, though things seem to be okay right now (other than the downright slowness typing into this thing, but may updating Firefox might help). I'm getting the 256MB card I added in when I got the thing upgraded to a 512, but I gotta wait till it comes in since it's such an old computer. All in all, though, at least for the repair job, I think it was just money I didn't need to spend. Repair job was 25 bucks, RAM was 50.
